Later this month, in Monterey (California), in the same auction of the 1958 Porsche 550A Spyder that I presented a few days ago, Mecum will auction this beast 2014 Pagani Huayra for an estimage price of $US 2,500,000.
After the post about Zonda HP Barchetta, it's good to see another model on the Pagani universe.
History of the Pagani Huayra
Pagani was founded in Modena (Italy) in 1988 by Horacio Pagani. At the beginning of his career, he collaborated with Lamborghini on the Countach Evoluzione. In 1992, he began the design of a prototype named C8 Project or Fangio F1 to honour his friend Juan Manuel Fangio, Argentian Formula 1 pilot. After the Horacio Pagani’s first hypercar, Pagani Zonda, the Huayra was presented in 2011 during the Geneva Motor Show. The car is named after the Incan god of wind, Huayra-tata. For the design, Horacio Pagani cited “the eternal element air in all its forms, especially wind*” with its coachwork made only of carbotanium (a carbon-titanium composite), the only car in the world. Technical specification
The Huayra has a 6.0L twin-turbo V-12 engine producing 730 hp. The beast can reach the 100 kmh in 2.8 second with a top speed of 380 kmh. For the others specs :

- Double wishbones and adjustable coilover shocks,
- 4-wheel carbon ceramic disc brakes.
The interior is in cream leather with alcantera and carbon fiber and comes with a 5-piece luggage set.
