Austin Seven replica Light Lorry.

in cars •  6 years ago

Today I bring to you this very unique vehicle an Austin Seven replica Light Lorry. From the all British day in Brisbane Australia.

This is a replica of I believe the one built by Austin back in 1937 this replica build was started in 2013. There rear axle is a dead axle meaning it is not powered though it has brakes to help stopping. The brakes on this are all cable operated not hydraulic like modern vehicles are. All the parts or this were from spares the owner had. The rear tray was built from pine timber from an old bed and the floor is made from western red ceder.

Thanks for following along with me on this series from the all British day.

Do you own a classic car?

Yes a 1973 Leyland Marina 6 cylinder. I did do some post's about it some months ago now. Here is a link to one of these post's https://steemit.com/cars/@j85063/leyland-marina-262-six-project-part-1

I have heard it all before and never had handling or safety issues with the one I had years ago. It would go round corners as fast as my mini's could. My mate has the old Bathurst race Marina and it is being rebuilt to go racing again :)

Very nice! I like it that in old cars you can still feel that you are driving.

Yes so true :)
