£199 would be ~£4,200 when adjusted for Inflation, if we compare this to one of the Cheapest cars offered in the UK today (The Tata Nano) which in 2009 was £1,390 (now £1,800) it's actually quite pricey.

I'd still rather have the Peel than the Nano though, It looks a lot more fun.

Peel also produced another minicar called the Trident
(shown on the right)
