#162 One Day, One Car

in cars •  7 years ago

Today the German cars brand that you probably never know it exists...
Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH.

The car? The Gumper Apollo

This model was tested by Top Gear on the Nurburgring (Nordschleife) in 7 min 11 s - better than Ferrari Enzo.

It was in production from 2005 to 2012 with Audi engine 4.2L V8 650 HP twin-turbo.
From 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1s.

Did you know?

Gumpert had a special hybrid model for the "24h of Nurburgring" in 2008.

I didn't know it existed... Thank you @Mandl.

By the way, I was thinking about a dedicated hashtag to One Day, One Car... and then people can use it to share what they drive daily :)))

Will make a post tomorrow using #OneDayOneCar or #ODOC to show what was one day, one car in the garage.

That's a good idea, noted. I like the full #OneDayOneCar tag. :)

I was surprised to find a die cast toy of this car at Mastermind in Canada:

I bought it for my son, I think it's still around here somewhere...

I believe the company has been resurrected as just "Apollo", with a new model:

Ok that's a good one! Nice catch

Hola @mandl
Ese carro casí que es algo muy personal.
Creo lo desarrollo un fulano de nombre Roland Gumper y solo lo ha superado el Bugatti Veyron.
No sé mucho de él; pero es tremendo.
Saludos

I really appreciate, but I wish I did not have to use google translate lol, if you don't mind in english next time :) Thanks for the input!

Okey
Regards

Beautiful this vehicle does not seem designed for the street rather it seems a great tourism (GT).

Most super/hypers cars now have a lift button to fix the issue. They don't get the front bumpers crushed anymore ;)

wow am impressed with this product. Its seems Germany are at the fore front of innovaton.

They've always been
