This past weekend the Vienna Autoshow took place at the Messegelände in Vienna with many car manufacturers presenting their new upcoming innovations, models and ideas.
I happen to be there and therefore I wanted to share my Top 5 Highlights from the fair with you.
5. Mercedes S-Class S63 AMG Coupe Facelift
When entering the hall, it's impossible to get past the Mercedes section without being stunned by the absolute brutality and amazing styling of the new S-Class Coupe. It sits quite low on the ground and seems to be the perfect coupe for people that want a luxury cruiser but also want to have serious performance. It has Swarovski crystals in the headlights and OLED technology for the taillights. The interior is all leather and fine wood and simply a great place to be. Well done Mercedes!
4. Lexus LC500 Taillights
The taillights of the Lexus LC500 use 80 concentric-looking LEDs and mirrors that filter a certain amount of light to appear three-dimensional. You could look at them for hours...
3. Bugatti Chiron
Everyone already knows this car but seeing it in person standing in front of you is something totally different. Even though It's not even close to being worth the money it costs, the full carbon Bugatti Chiron really is an impressive piece of craftsmanship. Period.
2. Audi A8 2018 Interior
Did you ever sit in a spaceship? Me neither but sitting in the new A8 comes pretty close to that feeling i guess. No matter which surface you touch it feels first class. Buttons are rare in the new A8. The main way of interacting with the vehicle is by touch interactions in the centre console. Even the direction of the air vents is adjustable by entering the climate control menu in the MMI system. I do think that this strategy can lead to various ways of getting distracted while driving. It's still awesome though.
1. BMW M4 CS OLED Taillights
The new OLED taillights on the new BMW M4 consist of several individual 3D red wings which make the car look futuristic and modern. Definitely the biggest highlight this year and a must see.
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post :)
Stay tuned and be awesome
