Land Rover Series 2a Part 2 & 3 Restoration

Part 2 followed by Part 3

The Restoration is going swimmingly as you can see.

Michael is really getting to grips with stripping and evaluating the 2a, he has found the off roader is held together by probably a 1/4 of the bolts it should have.

However, this meant removing the roof and door tops was far easier, the strip down is being recording with one of our cameras, our idea as a timelapse.

The next jobs are removing existing paint and seeing if the original paint is in a salvageable state.

We think it looks rather cool with the roof removed, perfect for summer adventures.

Mechanically it needs a slave clutch cylinder and the brakes need a bit of work, apart from that it runs, we will fully evaluate the bulk head and chassis after the vehicle is fully stripped.

As you can see certain parts are in a sorry state, however nothing that can't be fixed.

Then it's patch or replace, ideally we'd like to patch, that way it's closer to original.
