Mercedes Benz Sprinter 116 CDI L2 H3 Review & Road TeststeemCreated with Sketch.

Welcome to one of first commercial vehicle reviews, we started with the Vito, however we wanted to start with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

Why you ask? Well in a word the Sprinter has always been one of those vans you've seen for years giving cars a run for their money on Motorways etc, also it really id good.

The model we had was a 116 CDI it came with a six speed manual gearbox and a 2.1 L diesel engine and was surprisingly teched out too, we'll get to that though.

We had the H2 to L3 meaning it was just under 7m long it isquite staggering the versatility you can get on the new sprinter, different iterations including custom as well as heights, lengths and lots of options too.

When it comes to the interior as you'd expect you have to climb up handles make this easy and there are optional grab rails that you can buy you can even get coathooks.

There is a big handle at the top attached to some storage which makes it easy to climb in, once inside 3 comfortable robust seats.

With it being a van high it has a ride height and you get a great view the road as well due to the sloping bonnet and big windscreen

I mention it's got quite a bit of tech it's got things like emergency braking you can get optional power folding door mirrors with blindspot detection, you can also get a reversing camera.

It is quite amazing what you can get in a commercial vehicle.

The interior has changed quite a bit too, you've got retro vents and a 7" infotainment screen set, with the option of a bigger one up more like in the A class, it'ss voice activated too.

The Sprinter starts at around £24,500, you can choose from FWD and RWD and there's an auto too.
