So it is just after Star Wars, and not too long before Ghostbusters when Mark Hamill and Annie Potts came together to star in a car-jacking comedy(?) called The Hot One - or Stingray - or Corvette Summer...
I kid you not - this film had a least three names, but only one car:

The story goes that a young high school student is working on a 1973 Corvette Stingray as a class project, and is just crazy about all things cars (Sound familiar? Yes, says our Furry Editor) The student even goes so far as to convert the car to a right hand drive.
That student is played by Mark Hamill, and things take a sudden turn when his car is stolen. Hot on the trail, he travels to Las Vegas in an attempt to recover his beloved car. In his travels, he meets Annie Potts - a "prostitute in training" who calls herself Vanessa, and she ends up helping him find the Corvette.
There are many gags and false starts in this film, and at one point they end up chasing down a lead, only to find that the car they thought was his was actually a Datsun:
So how many of our fellow Steemians have seen this film? (Answers on a postcard please) I've asked around, and not many people have. All I remember from it is that car - and what a car! Here's one in blue:
