when the assembly line stopped after three hundred thirty-one thousand 847 units
in 2003 the annual output still dropped to thirty thousand from a peak of one million three hundred thousand in 1971

was in Mexico the last place where the beetle was manufactured the last batch of three thousand units was called the last edition and was sold as a model 2004, the production was officially discontinued on July 30, 2003 and then 65 years ago. original release was produced produced in total twenty-one million five hundred twenty-nine thousand four hundred sixty-four units, The last beetle the best-selling car in the history of a single design had a preferential destination the museum Volkswagen Wolfsburg Germany
