Lets hope we get a better week with regards to the weather. I doubt much was achieved last week and a lot of fans are asking why not hold testing in a more reliable climate? Dubai was mentioned.
We have what we have and the press have been busy finding news to keep the interest going. The current news is all about who said what when it comes to supplying parity engines.
Mercedes say they supply everyone the same engine and software and have done for a number of years. It is the rules after all. I am not sure how each team will actually ever prove they don't have the same engine as another team, but it's fun to stir things up.

Do those tubes around the driver serve as protection against flying car parts or something? I've never noticed them on F1 cars before.

Yes, they are called the Halo and although not really liked, they are there to protect the driver from flying car parts. A couple of years ago Barrichello was hit and put in hospital for a while and they started looking at what best to Do.
