I took these photos at the Gosford Classic Car Museum in Sydney, Australia. The museum has over 450 cars with a combined value of over $70 million under one roof.

This is the 1973 Ford Falcon XA GT RPO83, it was the six model in the GT series after the XY GT. The XA GT came with a 351 cubic inch or 5.763 lt Cleveland V8, the RPO83 came with few featured from the GTHO Phase 4 such as the 780 cfm Holley carburettor and the exhaust headers and produced 330 bhp or 246 kW. The XA had a top speed of about 150 mph or 240 km/h and did a Standing 1/4 mile (400m) in 15.2 seconds.

Cool, my father drove one of these XA Falcon's they are great. :o)

Awesome they are great cars, did you get to have a drive it?

Yes I did drive it on many occasions, loved it too. :o)

Nice car, love the old Aussie muscle cars, they are very unique.

Me too, I think Aussie muscle is the best in the world, cheers.

Nice muscle car

It is indeed, I love the Aussie muscle, cheers.

Big auto fan here so this post caught my eye. Live in SE Michigan so have worked in the auto industry as an engineer for many years.

Love observing these classic cars, and this is a rare one. Nice photos!

Thanks for sharing.

They sure were great cars, I owned an XA Falcon when I was younger, it wasn't the GT but it came with a 302 V8 and was a pretty fast car in it's day. Cheers mate.

Love reading about the Australian Fords you feature here occasionally! I found the color of this one to be strikingly similar to the yellow-ish color featured on the newer Ford Faclon XR Performance. Coincidence?

Thanks for that, I think you are correct, I have seen some Falcons getting around sporting a similar colour to this XA, cheers mate.

Dear Bruce, you have made so many great AUS-only classics, it is a pity AUS Ford had stop its production quite recently.
