Early on a Monday morning, there was a light drizzle of rain. I was headed out for my daily spirited drive... but before it had even started, things went awry.
At the base of the mountain, literally on the first corner, there was a patch of diesel.
The result was really quite picturesque.
This photo was actually the cover photo for the Australian 86/BRZ Club Facebook group after it won their "best photo" competition.
Walked away - no injury whatsoever. A testament to the BRZ/86 safety rating!
Managed to line up 3 patches of diesel, 2 on outside wheel line, 1 on inner line. This was at 40km/h, and the car just slid like a hockey puck!
Police ruled no fault and the insurance paid up, so I waited a couple of months and bought the new model.
I love these cars! I'll take good care of this new one. I promise!
