Art meets car: mirror finish Bugatti Veyron - Week 8: 7-Day Steemit Income Building Weekly Accountability (SIBWA) Challenge

I love art and I love the illusion of infinity and so it was a pleasure for me to see this perfect mixture of technical artwork in the Premium Clubhouse pavillon of "Autostadt" - a major visitor attraction of the Volkswagen company in Wolfsburg: a mirrored Bugatti Veyron 16.4. This artwork was created by artist Olaf Nicolai who wanted to challenge the aesthetic perception of the visitors by creating the illusion of blurred boundaries between the observer and the object. The artist wanted the visitor to become part of the exhibition by seing themselves in the endless reflections of the mirror finish Bugatti Veyron. This illusion is enhanced by the reflections of the pavillion's interior design, which is also covered with mirrors all over. See for yourself how the illusion of beeing part of this exhibit looks like:

Reflections and mirrors everywhere, @zuckerzombie!

What is reality? What is illusion? Are we a part of it all? Are we separate. Timeless questions posed by our best artists.

Thanks so much for sharing and allowing us the opportunity to tune into those questions again.

I love how art like this expands and challenges how I think about things, and often things that I take for granted every day like a car, a mirror, myself... :-)

Thanks for sharing and bringing this to us. Your explanation supplied elements missing from the photos, and the photos gave a good hint at what the actual experience must have been like.

Plus, the Veyron is in my son's Scalextric set so I have personally crashed this car hundreds of times :-)

:-))) I can imagine that crashing this car must have been very joyful;-)
