Project: Casemod - Hardware@Wall - Profil cover

Habedere,

time for a new update.

If you missed the 11th part (Thx dichloromethane); here it is:
Project: Casemod - Hardware@Wall - Thx dichloromethane

In the same way as I created the first profile (Rad OUT => Pump IN) I did the 2nd and 3rd.

The 2nd goes from Pump OUT => GPU IN and the 3rd from MB to the MOSFET's to the Backside of the panel and then to the RAD IN.

The cover that I create will show only the profiles not the area between. It will be made out of 3mm MDF.

First I fixed everything with tape.

After that I transferred the outlines to the MDF cover and sawed all cutouts.

This is the first profile.

And here disassembled only profile and cover.

The same steps then for profile 2 and 3.

The free area below the profile will be filled with some lighting option.

For that I created a cover made out of plexiglass WH17.

My actual cover was too instable, so I had to create a new one.
The new one is now a little bit wider.

Here you can see all parts of the cover.
MDF and plexiglass cover and some struts which will be glued on the backside for the stabilization.

Here you can see the different profiles.
Pump => GPU

Radiator => Pump

Radiator => Backside

At the end I covered everything with black leather.
First I had to work on the cover.

It was a little bit tricky and need some time to massage the leather for the best result, but I like it.

Because of the transparency of the squared profile, you can see the MDF.
I don’t want that look. So I add some white carbon foil in the background.

And this is the result.

What's next?

I'm going to continue the work on the multi-skin sheet cover and create the lighting option.
Servus and cu next time.
