I visited a cat cafe when I was in Tokyo in August and it was a brilliant experience to spend some time out interacting with mostly fully grown cats. The cats seemed mostly sleepy as per this photo although some were lively enough to interact with. The people who got the most attention from the cats were ones who bought them a treat to feed them.
Most of the people at the cafe were couples or girls, I guess liking cats is more of a female thing than a male thing. Overall a great experience seeing and playing with those cats was very relaxing.
