I let myself get Catfished.

Oh boy how do I start this little ongoing tale...Ah yes Cryptopia the land of the pump and dump. So it all started by me doing a horrible thing and joining a pump and dump group. I knew better but I went ahead and decided to give it a shot. We ran a few trials that were mediocre to put it mildly. It wasn't until our lord and leader asked us to pump up the coin in the chat that it happened.

I had no idea Cryptopia even had a chat bored and I started to shill with the best of them. I was posting and replying like a mad men. It was a sight to behold. My fingers danced off of the keyboard with such speed. It was here that I noticed one thing. Everyone chatting is talking in Spanish....weird but so do I so I could hang. I quickly noticed one more thing. There was an in ordinated amount of "hot girl" profiles on here. I decided to take my chances with one of them. I picked the least "slutty" profile and started to chat away.

Adrianita0 that was "her" username. I use quotes because there is no way to know if this person is who the claim to be. My whole goal at the moment was just to spark some conversation and joke with my friends afterwards. So I chatted and these people know what they are doing. DISCLAIMER: I hate to be sweet-talked. I hate it when waitresses think they can say a few honeys or babes and I'm suppose to tip a greater amount because of the joy they've bestowed upon me. Anyways Adrianita is doing that very thing. Everyone is "amor" (love) "bb" (baby) to "her". So I played along for the night and asked what any red-blooded American man would have done...."Do you have a Facebook"?

Adriana told me she did not and seemed to be the only person on the face of the planet that had no social media but she somehow was on cryptopia only to chat with people. Adriana was "new " to crypto and did not know how it worked.
I told Adriana I was sad I would never be able to teach her about crypto. She assured me I would be able to find her on the chat. So I logged in the next day similar time and to my surprise she was there chatting it up. This behavior would continue for about to weeks. I was very interested, I knew this person could not be who they claimed to be. But who where they?

My luck changed when I finally convinced Adriana to get a Facebook. It was a tough task but it happened, Adriana posted her picture and messaged me. It was here that I would get my first small victory. I finally saw my beautiful chat companion and knew this was too good to be true. I used the picture and went to this picture searches website (TinEye). I was right my Colombian beauty was all over the internet. I couldn't stop laughing, this was such a great opportunity. I didn't want to let "her" know I knew yet and as of this writing Adriana still does not know. I made up a new cryptopia account and saw that one other commenter was asking her for her Facebook. I shared it and he immediately believed I was Adriana. My new account posted the link to the TinEye search and I told everyone "she" was a hack. Adriana disappeared from Cryptopia that night.

The whole time Adriana has been telling me she wants to study and get a job. After leaving Cryptopia she has really been talking about needing a job and that has been the focus of our conversations. I was able to convince her to send me a second picture that doesn't look like the first. I was frustrated I had not hits on TinEye with that one. Looks like she wised up and did not use google, most likely.

On Facebook "she" told me she no longer would get on Cryptopia without an explanation. So my only form of contact has been Facebook messages. I have tried to call on the Facebook phone but "her headphones don't work" or camera "her camera doesn't work". Any and all excuses. I still don't know how much longer I will be able to take this mission. I want to know who it is. I am mostly shocked they haven't asked me for money yet. I honestly thought that was the whole end game. They have let me know they are in dire need of money yet still have not asked for any. I definitely need some sage advice, what should my next move be?!
