It's OUR day today: It's International Cat Day!
Happy International Cat Day from Shadow (aka "Curator Cat")...
Wait... is that a THING?
Yes it is! International Cat Day happens every year on August 8th, and is a worldwide celebration originally created by the International Fund for Animal Welfare in 2002.
It's cool that we have our own day (not that every day isn't Caturday!), considering that we have been cohabitating with you Humans for over 9000 years!
...and Bebe, the other (and extremely private) cat at our place!
Whether it's as skilled exterminators of vermin or as Gods (think: Egypt), cats are part of a lot of people's lives. And we plan to continue hanging around for a long, long time.
Current estimates are that there are at least 600 million cats in the world. That's a lot of cats!
So take a little extra time to appreciate and pamper your cat today; volunteer at a shelter; even donate to a cat charity.

Bebe is very sweet and just a little bit... slow... and she mostly keeps to herself. Plus she's pretty close to senior citizen age, as cats go.

Thanks! BeBe doesn't show herself very often... or she's asleep in pretty much the same position, all the time. But she's definitely a part of the household... particularly at mealtimes, and when the Human's are having chicken. She goes nuts for chicken!
