It's Saturday again, and that means my favorite thing about the Hooman/Feline calendar: CATURDAY!
So bring out your best cat and kitten photos; show us all the cats in your life!
Watching the world go by from a favorite perch...
How do you stay inspired?
I have been thinking about inspiration, and how we stay inspired even when things — perhaps — aren't unfolding as we had hoped or expected.
I know a lot of the Hoomans of Steemit seem to have become less and less active these days, and I watch my own feed getting thinner and thinner every day.
Yesterday, I spent a little time with the list of people I follow and was surprised (and saddened) by just how many suddenly stopped participating here, one day.
Maybe we all read different meanings into what happens, but it suggests to me that a lot of people have only ever been here "for the money," and with the price of Steem in a perpetual decline, they have simply lost interest.
Sad Statistics?
I sometimes go look at the weekly site statistics posts created by @penguinpablo who's one of Steemit's long-time contributors.
Sad to see that the number of posts, comments and votes have been in a long slow decline since this spring. Seems like the downward curve is walking hand-in-hand with the price of Steem.
Some might dismiss this and point to how some of the dApps are thriving, but isn't the bottom line that they ALL end up posting to the Steem blockchain? And so, don't the numbers still show that everything is declining?
But enough about that!
I try to find my inspiration in the fact that the rewards pool is being divided among fewer people, and thus the share for each of us who is still active is actually increasing. At least I'd like to think so, even if it hasn't really shown in my results, as of yet.
Well, that's enough for the gloom and doom!
Hope you are all having a marvelous day! I'm off to do the Caturday rounds!
Happy Caturday Curator Cat! Looking handsome as usual. Having a newborn now I haven't had time to take as many cat pics as I was posting. Eventually I'm going to post a cat pic with the baby. Call it cats and babies LOL. I'm sure it will be a cute pic when that time comes.

Well yes, you definitely have your hands full, these days! And that's totally understandable... my Hoomans raised three kids, but that was long before my time, but I know it was pretty much a "full time occupation!"
Happy Caturday!

Lovely photos! You are right many people arent active anymore. Things might change when the Steem price goes high. People come and people go! Thats what I have noticed here :D

I have recently had a lot happening in my life and so had a break from steemit, but always knew that I was going to come back to it. I think its worth hanging in their, plus i've met a lot of nice people and cats on steemit and missed seeing their daily postsl

Well, the money is not everything, right?
It is good to get paid and to feel rewarded for the hard work. But what about the fun?
