it's a post about how to look after kittens, which will be useful indefinitely to people outside of steemit. Vet fees can easily run into thousands of dollars EACH kitten, multiply that by the endless number of people who have kittens or are thinking about bringing one home. You clearly don't understand how Steemit works.
The money is paid by the reward pool, which distributes a constant number of STEEM every single day. Much the same way Bitcoin distributes the same reward to miners every single day.
Infact, Bitcoin distributes 2000 bitcoins per day at current reward levels, and that's well over 4 million dollars each day. Several orders of magnitude more than Steemit.
