When animals get involved in politics, hilarity ensues.

During a break in coming up with more serious things to write about (hey, we can't be serious all the time), I stumbled upon this highly amusing story about the cats of Downing Street earlier today. While definitely what you might call a 'fluff piece' (pun definitely intended), it's nice to have a change from the bloody awful world of human politics now and then. Honestly, I say let the animals take charge and sort it out between themselves.

To cut a long story short, Boris Johnson's cat Palmerston, the Chief Mouser of the Foreign Office, has been getting involved in some fierce territorial battles of late with his counterpart Larry at the Prime Minister's residence, which culminated today in a standoff with a police officer and subsequent eviction from the premises - about which he looked none too pleased.

Please do yourself a favour and read the official timeline of events. What a great piece of British journalism.

Bless.
