"Black cat, white cat" flower pot stand in the spirit of Halloween

in cats •  7 years ago

Several superstitions are connected to black cats and during Halloween we are reminded of the connection between black cats and witches. Legends say that witches or even the devil used to turn into black cats. The hunt for witches was guided by the presence of black cats as the belief was that where a black cat is, a witch can be found.
Setting aside all these superstitions and beliefs, during a trip I found this cute flower pot stand representing a black and a white cat. And in the spirit of Halloween and decorations, I suppose that among skeletons, spider webs and carved pumpkins, a cute cat decoration brings a twist of fun.
And to support the color combination in the image, have you seen the movie "Black cat, white cat"? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118843/

Of all the species of cats, the domestic cat is the only species able to hold its tail vertically while walking. All species of wild cats hold their tail horizontally or tucked between their legs while walking.

Thanks @catfacts for the great input. I was not aware of that. Is holding the tail up a means of communication with the people around them?

A cat’s back is extremely flexible because it has up to 53 loosely fitting vertebrae. Humans only have 34.
