Cats can feel when you’re sick and can help you heal. Before living with cats if someone had said that to me, I would have responded “Oh boy, here goes another cat-crazy person statement’’. But you know what? Now I believe it and I’ll tell you why.

Several years ago, I broke my wrist by slipping on ice and falling down on it. At that time I was living with a roommate that had 2 cats. One of the cats was particularly close to me and spent a lot of time with me. So after my accident, I managed to get up with the horrible pain and walked to the apartment. While I waited to get driven to the hospital, I sat in agony on the living room sofa. And there she was, the cat placed her little paw on my wrist and began to purr. She kept batting her eyelashes in signs of love as I cried myself in pain. It helped,...a lot, and that was the first time I recognized the healing power of a cat.
Now I have a cat of my own. For those who follow me, you may be already very aware of who my beloved Sasha is. She even won a pet contest last week! #Bananapuglife2ndbday
I just got a terrible cold. One of those that won’t even let you get up from bed. After three days, I finally have enough energy to at least get on my laptop and write a post. Sasha has been with me ALL the time. She cuddles up close to me and purrs, sends me love by batting her eyelashes and follows me whenever I get the energy to get up. Once again, I can confirm that cats have the power to help heal.
Cat Fact
According to some scientific research, cats not only help heal through the sound of their purr but through the vibration it produces as well.
Cats are able to heal because their purrs fluctuate between 20-140 Hz, a frequency range which has been proven to be medically therapeutic.

So do you believe me now when I say cats have the power to heal or at least help heal? I sure think so! And all that purring love I am receiving from my little Sasha is helping me heal. Do you have a cat? What is your thought about this? Please feel free to leave your comment, I’d be happy to read about it!
“If you put a cat and a bunch of broken bones in the same room,” goes an old saying among vets, “the bones will heal.”
I don't know if cats can help cure, but your post makes me like cats. When I was a child about 5-6 years old, there was a cat at home. It was not a good experience for me. I remember the many claws and how painful it was. 😥

Yeah, when I was a child I did not like cats that much either. One of my cousin's cats scratched me and scared me. She was jealous of me! But in time I learned how great cats really are. Especially when they live with you. Now I even want another cat! :)

Grown cats have 30 teeth. Kittens have about 26 temporary teeth, which they lose when they are about 6 months old.

Kittens who are taken along on short, trouble-free car trips to town tend to make good passengers when they get older. They get used to the sounds and motions of traveling and make less connection between the car and the visits to the vet.

I used to own a cat like 10 years ago that used to be a street cat. It was a great cat indeed but did not knew a cat will make you heal. But maybe the cat's fur and cuteness, plus willing to stay by your side gives you hope and strength. I am glad you are feeling better, Jessica! And I hope you get better soon.^^ Very nice post and inspirational for all cat lovers <3

Yeah their warmth and cuteness do help. But like I mentioned in the article, the vibrations from their purrs are on a frequency that is scientifically proven to heal. I read that veterinarians even recommend that people who have heart disease or bone problems should have cats.

I never knew that, I will have to research more on that to understand better. Thanks for letting me know about this :)

Four?! hahaha, naaa you're no crazy-cat man, I've heard of people who have more. But the important thing is to take care of them well in return for all the fuzzy warm love they give us :)
