Cats have been raised in the domestic environment but still retain much of their wild instincts that cause they to chase, catch and sometimes consume prey. They will swiftly assume pursuit of most moving objects within the house and have been known to engage with many household critters including mice, insects and anything else one may have crawling around.
Their playful yet sometimes lethal approach will see them pounce rapidly to catch even some of the smallest of bugs that may have been scurrying around nearby.
