The Random Things You Find.....

Today, among the tasks allocated to me by my beautiful wife, was to go into the garage and get out our old pram, car seat and bassinet so that my brother in law can use it for their baby niece when they visit from interstate for the holidays.

Easy enough task, even considering the 7 or 8 years worth of junk piled in there...

Now let me set the scene here a little bit. A couple of weeks ago, the dog came in sulking with a little bleeding scratch on her nose where she had foolishly cornered a cat that didn't take too kindly to it.

Then last week, I was hiding my daughter's Christmas gift in the garage when I had the absolute crap startled out of me by a cat rushing out (presumably the same one) after I disturbed her.

So today I get the bits and pieces out of the garage and venture inside to ask the boss lady where she wanted them. She came out to assess their condition and the dog was very very interested in the pram base. Too interested.

I went for a closer look at what it was, thinking maybe a lizard or a spider or even a mouse. Nope. It was these two..

Yep. A pair of kittens about 2-3 weeks old. No wonder that cat was so upset with the dog.

So we picked them up and put them in a box and a local cat rescue service who came to collect them from us.

Not before my wife had a cuddle though

So there you have it, my random find of the day. A couple of kittens from a stray cat. What was yours??
