In summer Princess Pearli is rarely to be seen around the house. She lives up to her other name: the Smith Street Strumpet. She’s never home and we are regularly told that she’s taken up with this or that neighbour or even more mortifying, a guest. Neighbours houses are often empty during the week, so she has little choice but to revert to the default.
Gandalf, on the other hand, doesn’t venture far, and is generally under foot, um, no actually under other things on the very seat on which one of his humans wishes to sit. All he does is curl himself up more tightly.

My cat is starting to feel the creep of winter. She has been exceptionally cuddly and affectionate these last few weeks, it is adorable!

Is the black one Princess Pearli? She is gorgeous. We only have dogs but there are a lot of cats that roam in our area. Some of them roam inside homes and ends up being house pets.

Yes, the black one is Princess Pearli. She was originally called Tiger Pearl. She had slight tabby (tiger marking) that one could see. She's always been Pearli, and has turned into a real princess. lol
We discourage stray cats - they fight with ours and can cause quite nasty injuries and money in vet's bills. Not to mention the irritation of spray and screeching. That's how Pearli ended up with the tatty ear.

Yes when the weather gets colder the cats are happy to have a warm cozy house but come spring they have had enough of that and like the great outdoors. We put in a cat door so they can come and go as they please but of course we close it off in the winter for it gets really cold here and the cats don't want to go out at all!

Ah, yes. We have a cat flap. Come summer, they both prefer the first floor bedroom window. Princess Pearli, if any of her humans are in the vicinity, prefers the door, demanding that we open it. Demanding little bat! Lol
