Today I am featuring my good friends Roger and Jans' Kitties.
A few months ago, Roger and Jan's beloved Marmalade kitty dissappeared. When you live in the country anything can happen to our outside animals. Owls, coyotes, fox, hawks are serious preditors. Marmalade had a great run for an outside cat. He made it about 9 years. He was a gorgeous long haired orange kitty. Jan and Roger were feeling pretty lost for a while. They considered going into the local animal shelter and getting another, but in the winter, no one really wanted to get new kitties. I told them to just wait a while and see what shows up. It is a sad fact that folks in town end up with kitties they don't want so they take a drive into the country and dump the poor little creatures out where they think they may get adopted. Well low and behold these two showed up a few weeks ago. They are Shadow and Platinum. They were obviously inside cats because they tried to use Jans flower pots for litter pans. There are smiles on Jan and Rogers faces once again and these little ones have found a wonderful home.

HA HA HA! I kicked a couple cats out because they decided my aloe plants looked better than the litter box!

I hear ya there. Not impressed with the digging in the plants. They are starting to settle in and starting to poo like the big cats do. LOL Thanks for coming by. I enjoy the banter. :)

Cute kitties. It really burns my biscuits when people give cute and cuddly animals for Christmas with no thought on how to care for them. Reality sets in shortly after Christmas and the poor dears are shipped off to the country.
We lived close to a river in Canada. I can't count the number of times my sons rescued kittens and puppies from a sure death. We rehomed every one of them. We already had our quota of rescue animals by then.

It is very unfortunate indeed. I guess folks think because they are cats they will survive just fine. That isn't the case as you and I know. I feed stray cats and a couple skunks and an occasional coon every day. I can't bear to see them suffer. Love my critters more than I do my humans at times. :) Bless your heart for helping the helpless.
