Thursday FAVOURITES Contest #ccc 2.20 "My Favourite Photos I Took Myself"

Hello everybody,

Last year, hubby was the foundation consultant for the proposed future project - City Bus Terminal of the City of Carcar City, one the progressive City here in the Island of Cebu, Philippines.

Together with our soil boring drilling crews, hubby, me - the photographer, my grandson, the driver and owner of the truck we rented, arrived at Carcar City Hall, night time about after dinner. The City Engineer inivited us to stay in his residence but hubby turned it down because his house was far from the project site and insisted we were okey with our tents just side of the City Halls building. Besides there were
24/7 guards and the open space was cool with the fountain emitting different light colors. Exciting experienced! For it was cold at dawn.

We all woked up early went to the Public Market, ate our breakfast, bought our provisions for the whole day.

Then, proceeded to the project site. Parked our service a little farther away from the Spooky Tree.

This was the spooky tree. That night, one of the guard told us to be aware of the weird story of the tree. Many already died on that tree. That tree was at the side of the river, then, there were two men fishing went near the tree. The two men were not found anymore. That happened long time ago. Then, about 10 yrs ago, another incident happened this time the body was found dead just near the tree. So, we avoided the tree.

Before the drilling started, the drilling crew set up first the tent so that in case it rain, our things were secured. The driver, the owner of the truck and my grandson prepared for lunch by grilling the meat. Mine was fruits and veggies.

That morning when the driller started their work, we were surprised the Mayor and the City Engineer arrived pointing the location where must be the specific bore hole.

The slogan here in the City: Carcar Is Nice! Hmm, I just knew that day that the nick name of the Mayor is Nice! Ahahaha...

The photographer, Me, must be where the action is... Result, I also walked on the muddy way of the rice field soon to be the City's Bus Terminal. I am sad within, until now as am wrting. The green scenery soon will be wipe out due to City's progress.

City's progress equals trees cut down, the fields wipe out and mountains turned to subdivisions. Change is coming.
