According to The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) they have recorded Cebu's highest temperature so far for year 2016. It was recorded last April 11, 2016 at around 3pm in the afternoon. The heat temperature reach at record breaking 34.8 degrees Celsius. It was recorded at Mactan based weather station.
It is expected to rise since we are still experiencing the on going El Niño phenomenon. Experts advice to keep yourself cool, drink to much water to avoid dehydration, wear thin garments or white plain t-shirts as much as possible and avoid from to much exposure from the sun.
The recorded highest temperature in the Philippines was on May 11, 1969 in Tuguegarao at 42.2 degrees Celsius.
We are in the middle of summer season and it is still more than a month before rainy season will start. So, best advice is to go outside from 6-9 in the morning and after 3 in the afternoon and don't forget to drink water.
