FISHING DAYS| TBT#1

Hello Friends,

How are you doing? I hope you’re staying at home safe and sound with your family amidst the pandemic. It is inevitable for us to miss our old routine and outdoor fun activities. Today, when I was cleaning up my files, I came across with my fishing experience in Fukushima Japan. This actually happened 2 years ago, it was my first time in Japan when we decided to visit the province of Fukushima and went for a mini trip to mountains and rivers. It is great to visit some untouched scenery of the provinces.

Let me take you to one of my first experiences of fishing. It wasn’t that difficult because we just have to pay to fish in a somewhat like pond where a shoal of farmed fishes were swimming, all you need to have is a fishing rod, a hook, and a bait then throw it out to catch one.

This was my first time to catch one after a long hours of waiting. I could still remember how excited and happy I was when I had one. It was difficult to take a photo with the fish since it was still alive once I took it out from the water.

This is the photo I took when we passed scenic view of nature: river, waterfalls, and lake. It was post Autumn at that time so the temperature was a bit cold especially in Fukushima it colder than in Tokyo.

Lake.
I actually forgot the name of this lake but I could remember it has a beautiful garden of flowers. I stopped by for a few minutes to take a photo in spite of the cold weather. I just took a quick snap of the view and went back in the car.

Waterfalls.
This is one of my favorite views. This photo was taken from the top so the waterfalls look smaller. The area has a calming sound because of the water and birds chirping around. This place really feels like magical, maybe if you aim for a calm and serene stay then maybe this place is for you.

Thoughts

Getting away from the busy phase of the city is great. Sometimes going back to nature is such a distressing way of retrieving yourself. Nature has the soothing power to take away all of our doubts and anxiety. This is one of the treasured memories that I have experienced in my life. Nature in Japan is much preserved, and people take credits on maintaining the balance of nature. I always respect the way these people lived and the submissiveness they have given to their people and land. It was just sad that fewer people tend to live in the countryside which ends up the abandonment of many old fashioned houses. What makes Japan today is because of the people's high respect they have given each other even inanimate things.
