The Earth Hour is a global annual international event organized by the World Wildlife Fund, which is held annually on one of the last Saturdays of March. It is that on this day at the appointed time people in different countries of the world turn off light and other electrical appliances for one hour.
The purpose of this action is to attract the widest possible attention of the entire world community to the problem of climate change of our planet, to show its support for the idea of the need for joint actions in solving this environmental problem.
It is worth noting that "Earth Hour" is, first of all, a symbolic action of careful attitude to nature, a public call for decisive measures to preserve the climate of our planet and care for its limited resources.
And in the action involved as millions of ordinary citizens, and thousands of organizations around the world. Since this is an absolutely voluntary action, people themselves decide how many and what electrical devices they will turn off, and the city authorities initiate the switching off of the illumination of urban facilities. Organizers of the action for security reasons do not recommend switching off street lighting, aeronautical lights and traffic lights.
