Today is my daughter's sixth birthday. As you may recall it was my son's 11th just over a week ago. January is a busy month for our family, as it's also my birthday in a few days time. Yes, we could have planned it better.
Pixie woke up all excited this morning, even though she has school today. In between mouthfuls of her breakfast she started opening her presents, with a little help from the dog.
She is very much into her dolls, but loves superheroes too, so we added Batgirl and Frost (?) to her Superhero collection.
Pixie had a few board games which she enjoys playing with her brother and the rest of the family. Her favourite present was a FurReal Friends dog. It walks, barks and interacts with an iPad app. At least it's not real enough for me to have to clean up after.
When she is back from school this afternoon we are taking a trip to the toy store for her to spend her birthday money. On her wishlist is a new scooter and possibly another Superhero doll.

January is a good month - no apologies needed! We have 3 January birthdays in our immediate family and 9 in the extended family (that I know of). Mine is Thursday.
