During the 1st of september the people celebrate on the street for welcoming sping and say goodbye to winter. If you grew up in a township, you would’ve probably seen a tradition back in the day where people would splash each other with buckets of water to celebrate Spring Day. This is just one of the unique ways South Africans showed appreciation for the changing season. Although the tradition has somewhat disappeared. Here is the example of the memories of the events that took place around the street that was twittered on this day.
People do understand and accept the game
