My Nephew's Birthday story

I had mentioned a couple of days back about me travelling to Bareilly for my nephew's first birthday. As I mentioned the hotel I was put up in was a real grand one and I never expected that a small town like this would have such a luxurious place. Just like the hotel, even the celebrations were grand. It was a big affair. My friend's in-laws are from this town and they had never done any celebrations from the marriage till now, so her in-laws were very keen on making it a grand affair. Their marriage had taken place in Muscat and after that even other ceremonies were either in Muscat or Mumbai, so in Bareilly this was their first family occasion and they had invited possibly all the big shots of their town. They have a hospital of their own and because of which they are quite famous in the town.

The little one is very fond of Mickey, so the theme of the party was Mickey. I guess these days even the babies are very smart, they understand that something is happening for them and they enjoy that importance. We were worried that with so many guests he may get cranky in the party, but not at all. To our surprise he was enjoying the party and playing happily. He was moving around with everyone and there was no fuss at all. He was enjoying the theme pictures and decorations and trying to pull out everything. One thing I must say that my nephew is a poser, he enjoys getting clicked, and this trait he has from his mother. He was all in giggles when he was getting clicked. After the party we were all exhausted and wanted to sleep but he was still super active and finally slept at 3 a.m.

There were variety of games for children. It was a good entertainment package that they had made for all age groups.

It was a wonderful celebration time. Everyone enjoyed the party and to me more then a birthday party it looked like a wedding party. I was simply dressed thinking it's just the first birthday party so nothing much fancy, but then looking at everyone around I felt I was under dressed for the event. But then I could not do anything, I had only carried one dress which I had to do with. More important for me was to be a part of the celebrations.
