Daily Celestial Challenge Initiated By @SirKnight Monday: Darkness

Hello Distinguished Steemians, how are you doing, hope you all are good? If yes we give God the glory. Today is Celestial Monday and the Theme of the contest is DARKNESS. By the aurhority given to me by @SirKnight I am writing on blindness.

BLINDNESS (DARKNESS)

Blindness to me is darkness. Blindness which is an absence of vision ( light) is synonymous to living and being in darkness. I will like to discuss blindness in two perspectives: Primary and Secondary Blindness.

Primary blindness occured in persons who were born blind from births. These people has a peculiar case in that, they have never experienced vision (light) before in their lives and do not know what light is. All they knew is darkness, so they can'nt even miss light.

Secondary blindness occured in persons who were born with complete perfect eye sights. However, at certain stages in their lives, tragedy strucked and they lost their eyesights either, by accidents or sickness. These persons are more pertubed, because they have experiend vision (light) before and can appreciate the joy of a sighted person.

Now, lets look briefly at the consequencies of being blind ( living in darkness). Firstly you cannot walk about without being led either by a person or guide-dogs. Even with special walking sticks, they still have to be guided at odd places such as crossing the roads, staircases etc. But the most pathetic situation for the blinds is eating what you did not see. No wonder my mother used to say that " blindness is the worst amongst all other sickness". Blindness /Darkness will not be the portion of any Steemian in Jesus name - Amen.
