Coral Polyps are little organisms of which the reef is made up of. The organisms are usually in their billions. However, this reef supports a very wide variety of life and of course it was one of the reasons why it was picked in the year 1981 as the World Heritage Site.

An Amazing thing about this Great Barrier Reef is that it can be seen from outer space. The great barrier reef serves many purpose esecially for divers. other individuals go there for sight seeing or tourist purposes and this generates a huge sum of money for the management anually. Likewise, fishing activities generates huge sum of revenue.
