One of the most titled wrestlers in the world according to the WWE organization, John Cena, said that fans purchased only 7% of the non-interchangeable tokens (NFT) put up for sale last month.

During an appearance at Florida Supercon 2021 this week, Cena admitted that it was a mistake to promote WWE's NFT along with a collection of real collectibles. In total, 500 "gold sets" were offered for purchase at $1,000 each, which included an NFT and a series of attributes. By itself, the NFT separately estimated the wrestler at $500.
"I talk a lot about failure – the idea failed," he said. – Why did they cost $1,000? Because the guys from WWE and I thought that $1,000 was a fair price. We were mistaken. How wrong we were. We only sold 37. This is a catastrophic failure."
Two types of NFT were offered for sale: 500 from the above-mentioned set with a fixed price, as well as one "John Cena Platinum NFT", for which a 24-hour auction was organized. The auction NFT went for $21,000. In addition to the token itself, the buyer received VIP tickets with accommodation at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas and WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.

Cena showed interest in bitcoin back in 2017 – then he posted an image on Instagram with material coins that are associated with cryptocurrency. Also in the collections of NFT, the veteran wrestling Undertaker was previously represented.
