The purpose of this post is to document a few examples of just how effective Social Media censorship can be these days, particularly by Youtube. In the wake of the recent YouTube purge, I figured I would share some examples I've recently noticed, of how effective YouTube censorship campaigns have been at suppressing information and evidence they don't want the public to see or have - in this case, evidence and research surrounding the Las Vegas 01 October Fest Shooting. Independent journalists & researchers, alternative media outlets, and dedicated truth seekers across the political spectrum need to realize that YouTube is no longer a place for dissent, truth or the free exchange of ideas. YouTube is now... ThemTube. This social media censorship of dissent and truth has been going on for a long time, but now it's 2018 – the year of the purge, the year to ditch YouTube.
Las Vegas Researchers Censored by Social Media - Examples From Steemit Posts
This article by @enki74 documents the eyewitness account of Kymberley Suchomel, which challenges the official 'lone wolf' narrative put out by government and media about the Las Vegas massacre. Kymberley's testimony was deleted from Facebook – just one example of Social Media censorship outside of YouTube – but luckily in this case, screen-shots of the original Facebook post were captured and uploaded to independent platforms, as was done here.
This article by @ectodoobie appears to be less affected than others I found, with only two of the eight total embedded YouTube videos deleted from the platform. That is still 25% of the video content featured in this post which has been censored from YouTube...
This post by @redpilljen2020 featured an excellent video by Truth Stream Media embedded into the post - now missing from YouTube - which was not at all conspiratorial, nor just about the Vegas shooting in particular, but was rather a history of False Flag attacks of the past in the context of the Vegas massacre, and a brief look at who benefits from this 01 October event. I know this because I also follow these guys, was subscribed to the Truth Stream Media YouTube channel before I was terminated from the platform, and I remember watching this video when it was first released. Looking back, I sure wish I had downloaded it then so that I could re-upload it to D-tube now that it has been censored, as it was some really excellent and well presented information.
Here, Red Pill Jen has a total of 17 embedded YouTube videos, 11 of which have been deleted from YouTube – that's only 1/3 of the original video content on this post in tact on YouTube!
In another post by Red Pill Jen, which has a whopping 23 YouTube videos embedded, only one of these videos remains watchable and in tact on YouTube! That's 95% of the video content featured in this blog post gone, censored by YouTube.
And there are many more examples of posts like these on Steemit with now-censored YouTube videos embedded, but the ones linked above should be sufficient to demonstrate that YouTube censorship is indeed quite effective.
This censorship negatively impacts independent researchers across the world who are seeking to thoroughly investigate all sides to any story, in order to get closer to the truth. Even if many of these videos are now back on YouTube on a different channel or with a different title, most researchers and journalists simply don't have the time to continually go through their past posts and articles to update the links to functional copies of the censored videos. Not to mention that simply finding copies of these censored videos, if they even exist online at all, is a time consuming and arduous process.
The moral of this story is obvious: It's time for independent researchers & journalists, alternative media outlets, and the truth community as a whole to abandon YouTube in favor of independent platforms such as Steemit and D-tube. At the very least, it seems we should all work towards uploading backup copies of all of our new content to any censorship-free platform, so that when YouTube does censor powerful videos and unwanted evidence, other researchers coming after us are still rather easily able to find the relevant information.
