The internet relies on a lot of infrastructure, is this a good thing or a bad thing? Let's look at the pros and cons!
Pros:
Instant comms (instant communications is one of the best parts of the internet, being able to instantly text someone is great)
Ease of use (the internet is very easy to use for most people)
Availability in most places (the internet is available in most places via open wifi and mobile data)
Cons:
Hacking (the modern internet is not very safe, your favorite social media or your mobile network can be hacked, and most likely will not work for you. Therefore you can lose communications)
Reliability (the internet can be unreliable sometimes, you might not get any service or your isp might be having issues)
Censorship (some isps or governments might censor your internet access)
Overall the internet is a great thing, but not always reliable. Some of these issues might not affect some people, but for others this is a constant struggle. This article is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0
