First, I want to start with a resume of what I've learned from other users.
Security is first, I did my backup of my keys and kept it in a safe place
In the quick start guide I liked this: Steem is free, here our reputation is an invaluable asset (and also in real life) and the promotion of values.
Which Values? Originality, transparency, respect. I learned that when you traduce valuable information for you, you also have to cite the source.
Of all the indroductive articles I really liked reading the one of @allasyummyfood https://steemit.com/steemit/@allasyummyfood/how-i-build-a-following-of-160-k-from-scratch
Making a brief list extracted and commented of this article, although it speaks of being successful in Steem (Definition) it is easily applicable to any area (Concept) in which a person is going to develop:
This is orientative,
Time and patient, as my lord Father says "The easy hurts ourselves".
Design a plan, big goals are achieved with medium goals, in turn small steps take you away. This step is very important and I personally advise those who can not easily stick to a long-term plan to start with shorter targets, nothing better than achieving a goal. If all our steps goes in the same direction, we move forward, if each step goes in a different direction we end up disoriented. It is always convenient to stop during a exhaustive routine (in front of a landscape makes it more epic), close our eyes, inhale, exhale and remember what is the most important thing in our lives.
Goals must be quantifiable, that is, you can measure them or keep a record that measures your progress. For a practical example, I set a goal to stop smoking, I designed a plan, and the factor that I measured was the days I smoked and those that didn't.
- Schedule and constancy. This reflects organization, it does not mean that we will be slaves of the schedule, it means that we have a plan, activities to do to achieve the plan and when the results begin to come we will see the value of our schedule and the constancy.
What to do?
Contribute to the community, create your circle, get involved with other people, show what you really feel and do. Interest in others, is the key to success.
Know your audience, the people who read you, come and hear. This will allow you to write better articles that can penetrate deeper into people who get involved with you.
Be yourself, but try to understand others, put yourself in their shoes, empathy tends to be an undervalued skill but is extremely useful for relating to other people.
Try to help others, is the key to success. If you write thinking about how what you do will help that person you love (partner, brother, son, friend), or how it will help a reader of whom you have no idea of his life and problems, you stop just a second to think "How does this help anyone?" and do not hesitate, the quality will shine, because as I learned recently "Love does not fail" (Paul) and doing things trying to help others is a way of showing love.
I like to listen and help others, if you want to know my perspective ask for it.
