Today we look at the biplane Kukuruznik - Polikarpov in action. The pilot performs quite nice pieces with this overrunning aircraft. The engine of the airplane is silent in its time, it can be heard only in the near-flight of weapons.

The first prototype of this aircraft of the designer Nikolai Nikolaevich Polikarpov saw the sky in 1927. Since then, more than 33,000 of these machines have been produced. Svecov engine has a power of 100 - 115k depending on the type. The machine was finished in 1953.
The Germans nicknamed the "Flying Sewing Machine" (Nähmaschine). The aircraft was famous mainly for the 46th Guards Night Bomber Regiment, where the pilots, the Germans nicknamed "night witches" ...

Dnes se podíváme na dvojplošník Kukuruznik - Polikarpov v akci. Pilot provádí s tímto přepadovým letounem docela pěkné kousky. Motor letounu je na svoji dobu tichý, je slyšet až v bojové blízkosti palubních zbraní.
