Starý Plzenec - obnovený Starý hřbitov - Old Plzenec - restored Old Cemetery

Old Plzenec is a smaller town near Pilsen. It was formerly called Old Pilsen, it is the original ancient Premyslid fortified settlement.

When it was near, in 1295 at the confluence of four rivers a royal town called New Pilsen was founded, the glory of Old Pilsen began to fall and the city itself remained forever in the shadow of New Pilsen ...

However, it can still boast several monuments, such as the Rotunda of Ottoman style or the Royal Castle of Council. But we will get them sometime the next time.

Today, however, we will look at the so-called Old Cemetery, which has long been covered with bush shrubs and completely inaccessible. It has recently been restored and transformed into a beautiful park that is certainly worth seeing. I shot some photos on his visit so you can go along with me ...

The old cemetery surprised me with its peaceful and harmonious atmosphere and was pleased with the beauty of this deserted and sad corner...

This looks like a quiet and peaceful place to visit. Being an old cemetery, it does cause people to have a second thought to visit due to horror stories by movies. Thanks for posting! An upvote from me!

The place was not scary, rather calm, like a place of reconciliation. Thanks for your comment ;-)

I usually thought cemeteries are scary, but the one in your photos looks calm and peaceful. Is it located in Czech? Never been there before, but I hope to visit someday! Followed you :)

Yes, the place is in the Czech Republic, near Pilsen. The cemetery was not used long ago, it was rebuilt into a park. Not scary, it is a place of peace and reconciliation. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked this post.
It's nice in the Czech Republic. And how is it at home, in Korea?
