Ten ways to save money when ordering a CGI rendering

CGI rendering is an excellent way for architects and interior designers to present their amazing projects. It can choose the most expensive and impressive CGI option, imposes tight deadlines in case of need, and forgets it all until the 3D visualization is ready. Sometimes, the architect has a limited budget. This happens when he is working on an investment project, and the money will be transferred only after his approval. So naturally, he is looking for ways to cut the budget. To help drive the architect out, we have assembled ten ways it can optimize costs on 3D rendering services.

1. Reduce the number of views

The less of them you get, the less is the price for 3D functions. Each scene is performed as a separate CGI rendering. Think carefully: who do you need to present the best parts of the concept? Is there one that can be left without a great impact? Low CGI idea, but save money by having impeccable quality.

2. Use available libraries of 3D models

When CGI rendering is ordered, the architect or designer specifies whether he or she wants some objects to be modeled from scratch or borrowed from the 3D library. And modeling new furniture, interior accessories, and decorations is not necessary.

3. Give a more detailed technical assignment

Or even better - consider changing the work from design only to visualization. The principle is simple: the more you work, the less your outsourced 3D rendering company functions. However, it will do the trick - the cost of work on CGI rendering decreases significantly.

4. Number of feedback limits

When budgets are tight, think about reducing the number of modifications. You have two options available. Give a detailed technical assignment (see point above). Only change when the change actually affects the result.

5. Extend Project Timeline

CGI urges to pay more funds for the project. Therefore, if time allows, do not rush it. Instead, give it and all your attention - and you'll be better off.

6. Opt for intermediate results - fast, gray renders, lower resolution

The more detailed the image is, the higher the price. And sometimes, you don't need a full-scale presentation material. In fact, everyone has a concept to show you to the customer. And then, you work in collaboration to get the final picture.

7. Provide a ready 3D model of a project (only rendering will be required)

Sometimes, the architect or designer has 3D modeling skills. Or he has a friend who works and can act for free. Then, the architect can save money on the CGI rendering project.

8. Detection of certain elements during post-production (2D instead of 3D)

In Exterior Design CGI projects, people are bound to live on the background, enjoy life, and interact with the design. They do not need to be modeled and rendered with the CG image. At the production-level, Photoshop is a cheap way to combine those details.

9. Change the volume of the project (refuse parts of it)

Reducing the amount of work is also a sure way to save money. Shut up on secondary elements, and this is not an important part of the Vastu visual project. As a result, the amount of work is reduced, and so is the cost of CGI rendering.

10. Many CGI projects are done instead of 1

If you have many designs to present, then that option is available. Then, you can order some CGI rendering projects, not once. As a result, the 3D visualization company closes the price for the benefit of future collaboration.
