The analytical company Chainalysis intends to help its clients among government departments in the implementation of the confiscated cryptocurrency. To do this, it launches the Asset Reality program for storing and selling assets.
Chainalysis already has government contracts worth several million dollars, and thanks to the new offer, it will be able to expand the range of services provided. Law enforcement agencies involve it in investigations when it is necessary to track the movement of cryptocurrencies. Recently, the US Department of justice announced the use of Chainalysis SOFTWARE to track $1 billion in bitcoin assets stolen from the illegal Silk Road marketplace.
"Chainalysis has created a full-scale solution for tracking, pre-seizure planning, handling, storing and selling confiscated assets for law enforcement," the company said.
Departments within the Ministry of justice in the past have repeatedly held public auctions, through which the sale of confiscated cryptocurrency was conducted. In April, the us marshals Service, which was entrusted with the task of organizing such auctions, issued a request to find a partner in the private sector.
