I am half Asian and half white...and my hair is very uncontrollable. Being full Asian alone means you are cursed with thick and poofy hair that won't cooperate. But being mixed is another thing...it is actually worse. My hair doesn't cooperate with a lot of hair products. Most gels can't control my hair and style my hair the correct way. Most pomades like a suavecito original, layrite original, or just any original hold water base won't do anything for me. And I can't use murrays superior or any heavy grease because it damages my hair too much. So here's the products that are heavy holding, washes out, smells great, and is affordable.

(#1- Reuzel Blue)
- This pomade is a very good for hard to control hair. It holds heavy and washed out like a gel. It has a scent of cedarwood and vanilla and smells very pleasent. It applies kind of heavy. If you have thin hair, you may want to use a nickle sized amount and dampen your hair. If you have thicker and more uncontrollable hair I would recommend a quarter sized amount and have towel dried hair. This stuff combs smoothly in your hair and can be re combed later in the day if you dampen your comb. This pomade lays all of my hairs and hold all day. This product gives great hair volume. And the best part is...I only paid 11 bucks for a 4 ounce tin!
(#2- Layrite Superhold)
- This pomade is way better than the original version layrite made. It hold way heavier and smells stronger. It smells of sweet and warm vanilla and is overall pleasent. It holds heavy and is very simular to reuzel blue in terms of holding. Reuzel blue and layrite superhold have about the same holding strength. This product also washes out easily because it is a water based pomade. This pomade shapes your hair greatly and gives it great volume. The only downside is it is a little more expensive, it is around the $15 range for a 4 ounce container.
