Château Lagrange is a winery in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Bordeaux region of France, and is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. It is owned by the Japanese liquor giant Suntory. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Troisièmes Crus (Third Growths) in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.

1986: A wonderful wine! Opened and decanted three hours before drinking. Beautiful red-black color. Tannins were fully resolved and still a wonderful bit of fruit left. Strong notes of red cherry, musky, mushroom, fresh and youthful both in palate and appearance, with an extensive, quality aftertaste.

1989: Layers of black and red fruits, with cassis, cedar, minerals and nice food friendly level of acidity, tannin is in middle taste, actually still good balance. But not surprising when comparing with 1986.

I prefer 1986 much more than 1989. (Just for reference: If 1989 scores 8/10, then i think 1986 is 9/10.)

Wow, glad to see you! Looking forward for your experience too! Followed!

One day I wish to visit a winery for wine tasting. I really enjoy different wines. Where as, from where I come from that is not very common. Probably due to the alcohol politics, which try to prevent people from drinking, but actually just encourage to drink the cheapest thing you can find (mainly spirits).
