[NBA DRAFT ANALYSIS] - Zach Collins

in chainbb-general •  7 years ago

10. Portland Trailblazers: Zach Collins, 7'0” Center, Gonzaga

Analysis:
Zach Collins averaged 10 points, 0.4 assists and 5.9 rebounds during his season in Gonzaga. Portland traded up for Zach Collins on the draft night and gave up 15th and 20th picks. He is projected to play alongside with Nurkic and to spread the floor as well as be the big who can rotate defensively. Collins is still young so he may get off the bench early on and need to get stronger along the way.

Projected Position (if NBA starts tomorrow): Rotation player.

Hello there..still a good pick for the portland.
Hopefully this guy isnt injury prone..you know whos im comparing with..haha.lol.the number 1 pick.i cant remember what year is that.thats a very very bad pick..GREG ODEN.lol😂

Yeah and do you remember who is the pick come.right after greg oden? Yes, kevin durant. That make oden becomes a very bad pick for portland. But oden would not be the worst first pick thanks to anthony bennett who is really struggling to survive in NBA

I think thats really unfair on the kid! 😂 He's nowhere near the prospect Oden was, coming out of the draft. I would compare him to a poor man's Porzingis. He can protect the rim (although foul prone) and stretch the floor. I think his projection should be Starting C on a good playoff team. @wilkinshui @iamkunaning

Follow for a follow back, love talking hoops!

I think the demi god porzingis is much much better than this kid.

Very poor man's Prozingis then haha

Hey so I played a small college called Caldwell College. And then I did some coaching. And I coached at a school called the Fairview Lincoln school in New Jersey. And I coach the kid in the seventh and eighth grade that plays on the San Antonio Spurs his name is Kyle Anderson. Maybe one day if you had time you could do a strength and weakness video on him. He's really a good kid he's got a good mother a good heart and I love to watch him play. I bring my kids to the game when they play the nets. Just a thought. On a sidenote when I played basketball in high school we played against the school called Delbarton of New Jersey and Troy Murphy graduated the same year I did and we have this little rivalry but hewent to the NBA too!!

Wow this is amazing experience that you have. Kyle anderson.. Mm. I can see where his great funadmental came from, i am sure you did a fine job coaching. And some old name troy murphy? He is kind of a player his my generation and i am surprise you will mention him.. Great rebounder.
