I know you guys have been discussing about parameter defence and clearly there is some discussion about Monk may not do well on that aspect, and today I would like to introduce you a potential lock down on ball defender.
Donovan Mitchell from Louisville.
Measuring just 6'1 - 6'2 without shoe as a 2 guard doesnt help his draft stock, but after multiple work outs, he is one of the fastest and hottest stock in the up coming draft.
There are definitely reasons for that:
As I mentioned previously, he is known for his defence and this is what stand him apart - he could help you cover both guard position and even some smaller SF, this is because he has the whole physical package - pace, quick feet, athleticism, wingspan.
While he can use his speed and athleticism to create space, one thing he needs to do better is his shooting, he is fairly inconsistent and in today's NBA, this could limit him to be a starter in the NBA (even avery bradley get his shooting touch).
Expect to see him in mid teen of the draft.

8/10 had defence as weakness, so i hope the teams understand, that defence wins championshiphs not offence...

In fact josh jackson defend ceiling could be as high as kawhi leonard so there is definitely a good prospect there. Comparing to previous years, this year prospect offense is simply too good that defend becomes their weakness, but in fact they are not that bad (probably monk and markkanen are worse out of top 10)

This is i like about kawhi, even he is one of the best player now, he seems he can keep his cool and you know he is playing 100% every night and deliver clutch shot after clutch shot. However reason why he is so cool is reported as a tragic moment of his dad when he was young :(

Lol spurs does have some of the most funniest advertisment in the NBA, and when you look at kawhi so funny, he is perfect for advertisment with this contrast personality, there are few funny one on tim duncan after his retirement as well.

Thanks for commenting. Avery bradley is one of the best on ball defender in the NBA so nothing donovan mitchell can compare to him right now. But at the same time avery has improved so much on shooting and has become a threat offensively and defensively. I am sure hope mitchell could do that as well. These days when gsw can score 130 points on you, there probably no room for pure defensive specialist...
