Hii Peeps,
A discussion about some of the blogging websites.
A list of the best blogs and websites focused on literary narrative and culture is often asked to me; This list was first created in 2011; Five years later, I continue to update it because the sites fold or launch
If I miss a site, please tell me your favourite in comments. Note: I have deliberately left the famous traditional media or social media, e.g., Publisher Weekly, New York Times, Goodread etc. :-D
LitHub
The latest arrival for the literary blogging scene - and one of the most successful on the list - Lit-Hub was launched in 2015, in which there was a collaboration between Grove Atlantic, Electric Literature and other literary publishers and magazines. With Huffpo Marketing Turn, you will get various voices and conversations about both contemporary and classic literature. Twitter: @lithub
BookRiot
Ideal place for both literary and professional writers and readers. In other words, it is more favorable and enjoys pop culture. It claims to be the largest independent book editorial site in America. Twitter: @bookroit
Electric Literature
Like cousins, LitHub will get many aspects of electricity, because they share the founders, but they publish the most relevant thing and are known for it, recommend reading, a weekly story magazine, they are literary Culture and publications are also many types of articles about the industry Twitter: @ElectricLit
The Rumpus
An online literary magazine Mission about culture rather than pop culture: "To present those things to the readers who have not yet heard them." It was the founder and was run by writer Stefan Elliott (since 2008), and there is a large editorial staff, this is where Cheryl Stride wrote "Dear Shagger" Twitter: @The_Rumpus
The Millions
An online magazine, published since 2003, provides coverage on books, arts and cultures, they run a very popular series of year-end year of reading. Twitter: @The_Millions
The Paris Review Blog
Most people know the review of Paris and there is no need for it. The print edition releases only quarterly, and there is a place available for more informal posting and literary culture discussion in their blog. Perhaps the next most literary blog is probably a print literary magazine (other people in this list are online-only publications) Twitter: @parisreview
3 a.m. Magazine
An online, international literary magazine, which is more than 15 years old. (This is a great achievement for an online magazine!) They accept essays, fiction and poetry. I love them, as I published my first online piece in 2003. Twitter: @3ammagazine
The Nervous breakdown
Most sites in this list are not worth the price; It is run by Brad List, which creates famous literary interview podcasts, Open People. Twitter: @TNBtweets
Catapult story
A relative newcomer in the view of the online literary magazine, it is an extension of a book publisher and its aspiration is to follow a community of writers. Twitter: @Catapultstory
Volume. 1 Brooklyn
Founded in 2009; Despite the name, it provides comprehensive coverage of literary culture Twitter: @vol1brooklyn
Bonus
- My longest favorite venue for Broad Arts and Culture News: Arts and Letters Daily
- If you prefer literary culture and mass media: The Awl
