700 Million people are starving according to the World Hunger and yet we are wasting food!
Did you know that in Malaysia, we are wasting at least 3000 tonnes of edible food waste that can feed up to 2 million people living in poverty? This is an alarming issue that Malaysian have to take note off and be careful of their eating habits!
Why are we wasting food when food can be put them for a good cause? Why are we wasting the farmer's effort who work day and night to give us food to eat? There are the reason why we have food on the tables! Without them, there will be no food in the market at all!
My parents who taught me not to waste food as a child will always remind me of the people in Africa who are living in starvation and some kid died due to it! I was fortunate to be able to have at least 3 meals per day and whenever I eat, I will always practice a good eating habit and a green mindset.
What is a good eating habit and a green mindset?
A good eating habit is a habit where we take what we can eat and just the right amount we can consume! However, after taking the food and not able to consume all of them, we can request the food to be taken away to eat for the night or the next day.
Besides that , green mindset is a mindset that will always think of the 5R's
Moreover, to help reduce food waste much further, we need to create more awareness of the food waste and have a platform where the public can help curls up such problem. That is why we have set up a food bank that is open to the public! You can visit the Food Bank at Address

Why a Food Bank is needed?
Most of us don't know what to do with groceries surplus we have at home when they are close to two months expiry. So instead of throwing away into the bin, you can donate them to @cat Foodbank where we will channel to Kechara Soup Kitchen and to anyone in need of it.
When we are about to move house and clearing our fridge, we don't know where to discard the groceries in the fridge that has not been open or touched yet. So that's why a Food Bank exists to help you donate what you have in surplus to those in need.
Engage the public to do social welfare
