Finally, a fellow welder! Nice to meet you. I'm a welding trainee at a local trade school. Regular welding helmets are difficult since it's too dark to see through when adjusting the electrode. You should look at auto-darkening helmets. The glass is transparent but then instantly turns black as soon as you strike an arc.
